i can never get over how jumpy pete was in this scene (even if these are 3 different types of jumpy)

So I’m just going to roll up my sleeves and make a list of all y’all who are straight-up committing murder on me in the tags tonight, STARTING WITH OP:

#sometimes i think about how my guy doesn’t flinch at gunshots #but has this reaction to kitchenware being dropped on the floor #and i just get sad #also the ghostly almost non-existent parallels between tankhun and vegas in relation to pete my beloved (@agendratum)

#someone correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that every time we saw Pete get jumpy #it was because of a Theerapanyakul #so. you see. the problem is not the hostile environment in itself (he can handle that just fine. he’s a bodyguard after all). #it’s in the vulnerability of being in a room with someone who has power over you #you won’t want THAT person to get mad‚ because even if you’re not the cause they could still turn that anger onto you #and if they do‚ the hierarchy dictates that you can’t move A FINGER to defend yourself #it doesn’t matter if you’re stronger than them. it doesn’t matter if it’s unfair. #if they decide you disappointed them and need to be punished‚ you gotta take the punishment #it’s a lot like a parent–child relationship #you can’t fight back your parents‚ can you? that would be considered disrespectful #even when they make you hurt real bad #so for Pete it was like… it was never truly over‚ you know? #the abuser was gone but the threat of punishment—now from his employers—still hovered over his head all the time #he never felt safe (@braceletofteeth)
