Next spring they will clearly all make it to that valley in the Wuyi mountains that Xue Yang mentioned, to show Xiao Xingchen all the birds… and everything is just good and happy forever after. ♥

The other commission slot I was given as a Christmas present by my very awesome wife who knows what I’m about became this! A fave scene from chapter 19!

“Xue Yang?” Xingchen asked, voice somewhat shrill, holding onto the shorter man with one arm even as his nimble fingers sought and found a small crack to hold onto. “Zichen?”

“I’m here. Are you all right?”

Coughing again, having found another, less hostile body to wrap himself around, it took a few moments for Xue Yang to start swearing, but not many.

“What the fuck, Xiao Xingchen!? You were safe on the shore, we both saw you, what the fuck-…”

“You were gone,” Xingchen argued, managing to find the underwater ledge with his feet, holding on to the best of his abilities, Xue Yang a shivering heap of clattering teeth and swearing wedged between them. “I had to find you.”

“Did you actually jump in yourself, you absolute idiot? You did, didn’t you - what if I hadn’t caught you, you would have… if you manage to get yourself drowned here, I’ll kill you, I swear..!”

“Xingchen…”

Giving an almost childish pout, Xingchen lifted his chin in defiance.

“I couldn’t risk losing you! If… if something happens, we should all face it together.”
