I genuinely thought you were all making up the Cult of Melkor thing. I thought it was a funny fandom hc one of you came up with and everyone collectively embraced. But I’m reading the Downfall of Númenor right now and Sauron convices Ar-Pharazôn that Melkor is the Lord of the Darkness and the one who will “deliver them from this phantom” a.k.a. Death. SAURON HAD A TEMPLE BUILT FOR MELKOR AND NOW HE’S BEING WORSHIPPED AS A GOD. Blood sacrifices are happening!!! Elf sympathizers are dying because the Númenóreans think this is gonna make them immortal!!
