Two trains collided head on in Greece today. More than 30 people are dead, dozens more are injured. The national train company was sold off to an Italian company(FSI TRENITALIA) by the previous government. The Greek trains and railways have been worked manually for at least 20 years if not more and the union has been reporting the issue and striking only for them to be fired, ignored and mistreated. The driver was heard saying "Let's go and whatever happens happens". The government is fully shifting the blame on the workers, who did not even have a basic GPS system to track the trains let alone anything else. The lights don't work. The train tracks change directions manually. The trains were headed towards each other for 12 minutes. People died because the money that was supposed to go to modernise the rail system was used for bribes.
