Early 18th Century Stuart Crystal Skeleton Ring. Memento mori.

The interior has a maker’s mark (very rare and lovely to have) of “RN”. Moreover it is engraved to the interior “D Clarke Ob Dec 19 1728 oet 44”. This translates as the person D. Clarke died on December 19th of 1728 at the age of 44. Truly a fine example of English memento mori (remember that we must die), the ring is of high carat yellow gold filled in with black enamel. | The Three Graces
