so I was rewatching the lantern lighting scene, as one does, and of course we all remember the Look of Love (you know the one) and Wei Wuxian wishing to stand with justice and live without regret, and also usually that Wen Qing wishes Wen Ning will be safe but let’s just give a shout out to the ONLY OTHER WISH WE SEE

it cracks me the fuck up that out of all the other characters, they chose to throw this in. not lwj wishing to protect innocents (we don’t flash back to that until the very end). we don’t get to see what jyl, jc, or jzx wish for. but we do take a second out of our busy episode to see this guy saying “D is for Diploma now get me the fuck out of high school” and I just think that’s beautiful
