I've said this multiple times and I'm reminded of it whenever I think of the Nargothrond coup scene - Curufin is not more persuasive than Celegorm, we see Celegorm persuade people multiple times in canon. The difference is mainly that Celegorm seems to have his father's leadership that has people agreeing with his passion before they can think things through, while Curufin seems to have his mother's quiet insight on how people work, which he uses to move everybody like pawns to suit his purposes. At the end of the day there's a whole lot of overlap, though
